Welcome King Kong Luis Ortiz to CLW Strength & Conditioning

It’s no surprise WBA Interim Heavyweight Champ, Cuban professional boxer Luis “King Kong” Ortiz, known for his formidable punching power and counterpunching skills, hired Coach Larry Wade to bring his conditioning game to the next level. As of June 2019, Ortiz is ranked as the world’s sixth best active heavyweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and The Ring magazine, and eighth by BoxRec.

Coach Larry Wade has been working with Luis Ortiz in preparation for his rematch with Deontay Wilder. They will be fighting for WBC Heavyweight Title at Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA.

On March 3, 2018, undefeated Heavyweight World Champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder retained his WBC title in his seventh defense with a tenth round knockout over unbeaten challenger Luis “The Real King Kong” Ortiz in a thrilling back-and-forth. See fight above.

Their rematch is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2019. They are fighting for the WBC Heavyweight Title.
